In an earlier posting I mentioned that I replaced my horn with one from an old BMW. It's LOUD! I have no idea about the amps it draws, but I haven't blown any fuses, and I use it all the time. It definitely gets the attention of cagers, even with windows rolled up and air-conditioning on.
I also replaced the horn on my Honda Rebel 450. That one is from a Volvo, and it's not quite as loud.
The drawback to both horns is the lack of chrome. I spray painted them flat black, so they are not really noticeable.
